Our 5-Year Journey with Wicresoft: From Leap of Faith to Market Leader

They say hindsight is 20/20, but capturing five years of ups, downs, and unexpected triumphs in a few paragraphs? That’s a different kind of challenge. How do you summarize the moment we joined Wicresoft, weathered a global pandemic, and came out stronger, personally and professionally? Here’s our story. 

The Leap of Faith 

Five years ago we took a leap of faith - transitioning our recruitment marketing agency into the Wicresoft family. We joined Wicresoft, a large organization, and dove into building new processes, designing new dashboards, meeting new people, and trying our best to blend into a new culture (though let’s be honest, we probably changed it a little too). Through it all, we asked our clients to trust us and stay on the ride. 

Those first six months were a blur. It felt like starting a new job, except we also brought our own structure, expectations, and possibly, a little baggage. 

From day one, the Wicresoft team showed up and asked: How can we help? What do you need? The support was immediate. We spent time educating our new teammates about our industry, our clients, and how we work. We collaborated, shared ideas, and slowly rebuilt a foundation for our recruitment marketing agency to thrive within a new framework. 

Hurdles and Highlights 

We got hit by the COVID freight train and like everyone, life changed. Work changed. Our industry, like so many others, was upended overnight. It felt like starting a new job in the middle of a storm—except our clients were counting on us to navigate uncharted territory. We moved everyone remote, rebuilt processes on the fly, and kept the team connected through daily check-ins.  

For the past five years, we’ve gained business. We’ve lost business.   

I faced a personal battle, too: I got cancer and then kicked its ass. That ordeal reminded me how critical a good support network is. And heartbreakingly, we lost one of our own, Paul Wills. Paul was our friend, mentor, and the ultimate idealist. Losing him reminded us that growth isn’t just about numbers; it’s about cherishing the people who shape our vision. He deserves an entire blog, but for now, let me say: he is deeply missed, always. 

Not every idea over these past few years has worked, but we stayed true to our vision, and over time, staying curious turned our nervous energy into momentum. Those early sleepless nights weren’t just anxiety; they fueled creative ideas that reshaped our business for the better.  

If you ask anyone who made the move with us five years ago, they’ll probably say the same thing: what started as a leap of faith (and, honestly, a small ulcer) turned into an incredible opportunity. 

By the Numbers 

Five years in, these milestones tell the story better than I ever could: 

  • Transitioned 90% of our clients from our previous agency to Wicresoft 
  • Increased our client base by 195% 
  • Doubled our sales revenue 
  • Maintained an average employee tenure of almost 10 years 
  • Hosted countless client meetings and gathered to celebrate our success as a team 
  • Supported partner relationships—some spanning over a decade 
  • Attended industry conferences and trade shows to expand our knowledge and share our expertise 
  • Enabled clients to meet growing hiring demands by boosting applicant flow and enhancing recruitment efficiency  

People First 

Behind every metric is a person—our team members, clients, and partners. This year, we grew stronger together by hiring more people, promoting from within, and watching talent flourish. With an average tenure of almost 10 years, we’ve seen firsthand that when you invest in people—they invest right back.

Wicresoft’s culture of support and collaboration, built with both our internal teams and our client partnerships in mind, helped smooth our transition and strengthened the foundation we share.

What’s Next 

Five years ago, we didn’t know exactly how things would turn out. Some of life’s best moments are in the surprise, but only after you accept the challenge. We have the best team, and they’re the reason these past five years have been such a success. I’m endlessly grateful for their talent, heart, and resilience. I want to thank each of them, as well as Wicresoft, for taking this journey with me. And the most exciting part? We’re just getting started.
